Summary: This film tells the story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, an African-American man who rose above his troubled youth to become a top contender for the middle-weight boxing title. However, his dreams are shattered when he is accused of a triple murder, and is convicted to three natural-life terms. That's a good example of a wasted opportunity! This story had potential but bad directing made it into a cheap movie. Denzel Washington is good as usual but other actors for the most part are horrible and gimmicky. Even at parts (zooms on Denzel Washington at the first night in prison) at times seems to be trying too hard.

Denzel gives and extraordinary performance, but besides from that the blatant historical inaccuracies damage the film by tricking the viewier into thinking this is hoe it all went down.
