The Italian is an aesthetic gem, but a moral muddle.

Amazingly moving!
This movie is so beautiful! It was not an original story, concept, or execution, but it had so much heart. I saw it once and it stayed with me for days. See it!!!

Watchable, albeit somewhat depressing story of an orphan in Russia, who begins to wonder about his birth mother. Good performances, particularly from the young "hero".

Very moving film. I love that the story is told from the perspective of a young person/people. I've never seen such fantastic acting from such a young cast.
