A well made film with stunning visuals (Anay Goswami) - a number of times I caught myself enjoying the visuals like I would a well written poem - lyrical beauty of the lands and seasons captured well on film. My only complaint - wish the story was more grounded - e.g., no body in the village complains or ridicules the overseas relationship ? - that is hard to believe. The acting of the Japanese actress isn't uni-formally good. Otherwise a good film. Reminded me of the very excellent 'Mary & max'

A concept that sounds a little bit sweet and a little bit creepy, but in execution is mostly just creepy. Sen's career as a director has been spotty, and this is her worst yet. She holds up this marriage as a kind of quirky romantic fantasy, without ever really addressing the disturbing social retardation behind it. Most of the movie is played out in broken English, and both parties sound like they're overdoing the "broken" part. Tack on some really blunt symbolism and cheap plot contrivances.

A really nice love story which has some wonderful cinematography. The acting by the lead roles is commendable. The story connects two dissimilar culture through a romantic drama. The story though improbable packs a sentimental touch. Overall a good movie which I can recommend.
