Summary: The Key to Reserva: Scorcese films a "lost" Hitchcock script. A briliant advertisement and a complex homage to Alfred Hitchcock and Bernard Hermmann. (YouTube)
The Key To Reserva has a very interesting main idea and it succeeds in reconstrusting Hitch's spirit. But in trying to do so, Scorsese shows something more than ambition. Vanity. In other words, who the HELL does he think he is, anyway??? Apart from that, all the Hitchcockian themes are right there and this is probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing a new Hitchcock film. Worth seeing once, but it would have been better without Scorsese "acting" in it.
A really fun and engaging short that nails Hitchcock's style but adds a humorous twist. Scorsese should act more often, he's always hilarious when he does. Reminds me of Woody Allen.
