Extraordinary story and performance. A very similar movie to this one is 'Goodbye Mr. Chips'

Entertaining old-fashioned Hollywood movie. This film is a rarity: it is filled with sentiment but is seldom sentimental, and it depicts a thoroughly good man whose character is neither improbable nor insufferable. The sharp dialogue keeps Peck's good priest from being too one-dimensional, and Vincent Price is very good as the worldly priest who understands how to get ahead and get along.
