Much better than I thought it would be. I'm sorry, but Jaimee Foxx is great. He is like Denzel Washington except that Jaimee Foxx is always someone new. He's totally dynamic.

Interesting and entertaining....especially in the third act.

The wrap up ending wasn't the best, but it was still an enjoyable action flick.

A culturally and intellectually acidic piece of quasi-Michael-Bay filmmaking. By the end, the Muslim characters (which the film tries SO HARD to portray as objectively as possible) become hooded Villains that must be killed in vast numbers, and in demasculinizing, stupid ways. Really, either be really dumb or somewhat intelligent, but both together is a disservice to your audience. At least the opening graphic montage is fantastic.

Not worth remembering.

Fairly solid film... nothing fantastic, but is very watchable.

The opening credits are great. The movie itself is a standard action movie, abit a much more pluasable plot than usual, that takes place in today's world. Thankfully it shows both sides of the coin without straight bad guys and straight good guys. However as an action movie the action itself is lacking. The resolution is a climatic gun battle which feels almost like Heat except simply not as good. The editing isn't as crisp or solid. Still, it's an enjoyable film. Just not great.

The only issue I have with The Kingdom is that what started off as a smartly driven newsworthy tale of terrorism very quickly relapses into a violent demise which is quite uncomfortable to watch which ultimately transforms this film into a far better action film than the political thriller it wants to be.

Weak storyline, too American for my liking. Good performance from Jamie Foxx

Peter Berg stages the action well and has a message to deliver here in this terrorist pot-boiler, but his characters are nothing more than four can-do American heroes (FBI agents) saving Saudi Arabia, sunglasses and all. Nothing seems very plausible, but it's still a vicious, stinging piece of filmmaking aspiring to be more than what it is - a lost fireball.

A movie saved by its ending.

Chaos cam and hyper editing plague the action somewhat, and it all plays a little too much like a TV show. Danny Elfman's Explosions In The Sky impression is just fine though.

The last few phrases save a lot. As a film this is some meaningless drama with thriller ending made by force.

The final 20 minutes action sequence of this poor man's "Hurt Locker" was pretty awesomely hectic. Other than that: Business as usual.

Bla bla bla, America, Middle East, bla bla bla. About as much insight into foreign relations and cultures as Paris Hilton.

The one good thing about this film is the positive Arab characters in the film--which might reach people who would not necessarily be open to that perspective.

Can be devided in 2 parts. The first part ( besides the opening-scene ) is told very calm , when suddenly the second part kickes in ( car crash). After that point the action is unstoppable , and the shaky camera and quick filming makes sure the action is printed at your retina. The ending dialogue was good , but makers didn't succeed in their political goal.

Dumb movie with ham fisted patriot notions and some slick tingling ultra violence.
