Last Dragon is a lot of fun. No one in the movie can really fight, but Sho'Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, is worth the whatever price it takes you to watch this. He is the most stylish, ridiculous, hilarious villain I've ever seen.

This movie's genius for a million reasons. None of which, I'm assuming, were intended by the filmmakers. LOL

Yeah, no one in this film, "Bruce LeRoy" included, has any particular choreography skills, and yes, the love subplot was kind of annoying. However, damn if this film wasn't funny, silly, and great fun as a kid! Sho' Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, was a terrifically funny, inspired villain, Bruce LeRoy's deadpan is hysterical, and the music and ending are both awesome. I still hum the theme, played before the final battle, every so often! Highly entertaining!

Correction: BERRY GORDY'S The Last Dragon. Who's the master? Sho'nuff! Just dumb, dumb, dumb. The jheri curls were in full effect, though.

It's cheesy and, at this point, quite kitschy, but still a lot of fun. Sho 'Nuff is a great villain that has to be seen to be believed. The special effects, music and fashion - well, they're so hilariously dated, but it actually adds to the film's appeal. Delicious in the same way those Ellio's pizza squares were back in the day.

Not quite Blaxploitation and not quite Kung Fu, this isn't a movie you watch for the fight scenes, acting or storyline. You bathe in the music, the one liners, and spectacle of it all and smile. Asians who want to be black and blacks who want to be Asians, a neighborhood shogun, a pizza parlor, a dance club, a hack entertainment agent and the mystical power of "The Glow" all come together in a ridiculous bit of 80's spectacle that is impossible to reproduce. Lose the attitude and enjoy yourself.

This is the stuff that was on TV when I was growing up. It is terrible but still pulls off being a product of its time - it's distinctly 80's style terrible. And that counts for something.
