Summary: The paths of two warriors converge when the Emperor of Japan hires a Civil War veteran to train Japan's first modern army. Somewhat insulting action trifle with distracting star moments afforded to Cruise. Everything without him is gold, meticulously designed and edited. The ninja scene is an all-time highlight.

An very enjoyable movie. It was supposed to recieve a 87, but I gave it a 82 for being too long. It's not about how long it is, it's about uneccessery scenes that made me feel I've already seen that... Oh, wait. It recieves a 57 for being a FREAKIN' REMAKE OF "DANCES WITH WOLVES" REPLACING INDIANS WITH SAMURAIS. ORIGINALITY ROCKS, HOLLYWOOD (Don't get me wrong, I loved the film, only I had to cut the rank for unoriginality. Next time, I won't have mercy).
