Summary: A descent into Hell is triggered when "Ex-Lord" Donald Brocklebank finds that he must leave Longleigh House for London to find a way to pay for the medical treatments for his wife Nancy. With a title like 'The Living and the Dead' you'd expect at least one or two zombies to make an appearance. Alas, this movie had none...but I did learn that mentally ill people can be just as frightening as the undead.
