London, today, is a relentless city. So full of life and culture, so representative of Britain as both an old land of history and a modern country of the world. It has been considered in this light for some time. However, in this bleak portrayal of the city, one discovers those who are trodden on by progress. One sees those who have been left behind, torn down along with the streets which they might have grown up on. With a twist of dark humour, Cohen's film manages to both amuse and haunt.
