Summary: When her father becomes ill, a young woman takes over the telegraph at a lonely western railroad station. She soon gets word that the next train will deliver the payroll for a mining company. The train brings not only the money, but a pair of ruffians bent on stealing it. Griffith is at his best here. Each set is unique and carefully considered, with lots of background activity. The actual siege (god, he loved sieges) is probably the weakest part - he seems most comfortable with the surprising sweetness of the budding romance.

Silly ending but otherwise pretty good fun.

I enjoyed this. Good use of colors, and builds suspense surprisingly well. Also, the gag end-twist is pretty funny. Pretty unremarkable, but still nice.
