Perhaps better known as "that war drama where everyone's thoughts are audible", it's hard to believe that the same Peter Collinson is behind this who would afterwards direct The Italian Job. Not just because of the somber tone, but also because of this movie's cheap production values and technical clumsiness. Anyway I was expecting more from this content-wise. It's not quite as realistic as they say it is and it seems to have an odd fascination with weaponry and soldiering per se.
