this is a great crime drama..it has so many twists and turns..and the ending came too quickly was hoping for at least 15 more mins...

A really solid and taut little thriller ably carried by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who I think is probably the best actor of his generation post-Heath Ledger.

Not impressed. Nothing really new. Nothing surprising.

Usually when a good actor plays someone slow or retarded in a movie it means one of two things: the film is going to be laughably (unintentionally) bad, or it's going to draw Oscar nominations like flies on shit. The Lookout does neither, thankfully, and once the film gets going, it plays out like a slow-motion trainwreck (I mean that in a good way) that keeps you glued to your seat.

Gordon-Levitt is fantastic, but the film overall, is nothing beyond ordinary.

There's a couple of interesting characters here, but this isn't very good. The romance subplot is especially cringeworthy.

Underdeveloped but still quite good. Gordon-Levitt takes a character who wouldn't be all that sympathetic and makes you care about his messy life, as the film blends personal drama and crime thriller.

The solidly written, "small" picture deserves a bit more attention. the casting is also very good.

Pretty standard flick. I've seen films much more interesting about heists or memory loss. While it was entertaining, Jeff Daniels was the only actor putting down a good performance. Furthemore the screenplay was mediocre at best, being very predictable at times.

Gordon-Levitt keeps the authenticity of the story real, perhaps one of the finest individual performances I have seen. The story line made sense and played out, but not with the always ever so looming happy ending. It resolves, and you can feel happy for the characters as it ends. The thing is there issues these characters are facing wont go away, they just learn to face them in the end, and that is really all anyone can do in life. Honestly this film will surprise you with how good it is.

Good acting, but just an average movie. It really wasn't attention grabbing enough to be a good suspense/thriller.

Lack of a proper story kills this, although the acting was done quite well.

An engaging, if not very subtle story. Gordon-Levitt carries the piece admirably whilst surrounded by an array of increasingly unbelievable characters. But it's well shot and directed, and whilst the ending is telegraphed it's still a satisfying conclusion.

Gordon-Levitt carries this film on his back and mostly does a good job with it. However the supporting cast lacks any significant development, to the point that is unclear what several characters' motivations are for participating in such an extreme action (particularly the girl who hooks up with Gordon-Levitt). It's an engaging film overall and worth watching, though could have been better if the pace had been a bit slower, and secondary characters were developed more thoroughly.
