Summary: Sauron's forces have laid siege to Minas Tirith, the capital of Gondor, in their efforts to eliminate the race of men. Love the fuck out of this. Great way to end the trilogy. Don't even care that the movie could have ended like 20 times at the end.

After a while, you're kind of just watching unthinkably gigantic CG armies smush into each other. The battle scenes eventually take on an almost unimpressive mundanity, losing any import they had in the first film of the trilogy. Overstuffed.

The Lord of the Rings movies are great. Definitely long so don't watch it unless you have some time on your hands. Great acting, special effects, and they totally brought the world to life. I liked all the characters (and the actors who played them).
