The entirety of The Lost World suggests ineptitude. From its unconvincing set design to its lousy rendering of dinosaurs to its porn-level acting to its shotgun-subtle screenplay, Keen's film plays as if parodying that it supposedly takes seriously. Ultimately, it ranks so laughably bad that it flips back on itself, resembling something of quasi-brilliance.
