Easily the best of the "Crime Does Not Pay" shorts on the bonus DVD. The closest to true noir, with classic elements like voice-over and without all the ham-fisted moralizing at the bookends. It's pretty much a mini-noir, and it's interesting to note that although (naturally) the criminal loses in the end, it has nothing to do with his crimes... just bad luck. Which makes it more like a "Twilight Zone" episode, but still pretty fun, and shot well.
