One of the more interesting premises, but a lackluster effort all around. A by the numbers outing from Universal.

The mix of over-the-top horror elements and subtle black humor qualifies it as one of the era's best and brightest fright flicks. Zucco lends a terrific deadpan acerbic edge to Dr. Morris, while Bruce's hapless Ted ranks as one of the most abused innocents in fear-film history.
