Summary: Sir Guy Grand adopts homeless bum Youngman to be heir to his obscene wealth, and immediately begins bringing him into the intricacies of the family business, which is to prey upon people's greed by use of the vast holdings of the Grand empire.
This is a very wacky 60's comedy! You can forget about a plot. The movie is made up of a serious of scenes involving Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr having fun. The film is a satire on greed. The film is silly but a lot of fun.
An amusing parable about the nature of greed, and how easily people are influenced by money. The concept is inspired, the individual gags are terrific, and it flows well throughout. The ensemble cast is amazing; Cleese and Sellers are great, and Christopher Lee, Attenborough, Brynner, and surprisingly, Ringo Starr are all good. The only negative is that the concept becomes one-dimensional and repetitive at some point, especially near the end. Still, a very good, original comedy.
