Summary: A decidedly uneven comedy-drama that veers off at a right angle before the midway point is reached, this story by director Nunnally Johnson deals with Willie, a Hollywood producer (Henry Fonda) and Ann (Leslie Caron), an aspiring actress. When they meet there are several comic scenes but then as the down-and-out producer and the starlet fall in love, marry, and she proceeds full steam ahead with her career, everything changes.
