grudge type feel to this film, not that scary, and there are alot more convincing and more enjoyable horrors out there! stay away.

I'm a huge fan of the Pang Brothers and they bring to life a horrific story of ghosts and hauntings. The ensemble cast is good and I actually thought Kristen Stewart did a decent, watchable job here. Recommended!

Waste of time. Nothing to be scared of, and boring. And the mother didn't fit in for some reason.

Horrible. There is no point to this movie. There's no messengers, no reason for anything, all the scares are stolen directly from other movies, eveyr single one, every idea, every line, every character. There is zero originality in this boring, mediocre piece of shit that completely offends any ideas I had about horror movies and what they should be, especially one with a budget obviously worth a damn. Fucking contrived, unoriginal shit. That's all this "movie is."

EXTREMELY conventional for a 2007 horror. The CGI apparitions looked terrible, but John Corbett's character was quite good, and of course, Kristen Stewart and her 16-year-old sexually-frustrated looks sold it. The twist was cool if predictable. I won't totally shit on it, it's just trying to cash in on the horror movie bandwagon. But given that I had been waiting a couple years to see it, I was somewhat disappointed. I expected more. But the crawling scene in the barn creeps me the fuck out.

Only unless you have something to drink.

When all two of your genuinely creepy scenes happen in the background, you've gone wrong somewhere. This was around the time Kristen Stewart did a Keanu Reeves and lost all her emotions.

Strong Hitchockian cinematography and a handful of good performances can't save the absurd direction, laughable CGI, baffling and complete lack of terror.

There's nothing in this movie that isn't bad.

Average ghost story. Kinda boring, actually, but the twist at the end was cool.

Very plain and mediocre horror film with sloppy direction.

Very basic plot, very basic ghosts, all in all very basic post-the-Ring haunted house horror.

Young teenage girls became pretty active these days. See for exampe Darkness. This story is very same, except not that impressive. Girlie here is having quite a trip. But nothing really gives a damn, because a sloppy and uninteresting result.

A very run of the mill PG 13 thriller.

Lame and predictable. Its a mix between The Grudge and Cold Creek Manor.

Pretty lifeless and lacking any sort of noteworthy atmosphere, creepy or otherwise. It tries to provide some depth by throwing in backstories and such at later points, but it all just comes off as unnecessary by then.

Believable acting for a PG-13 movie. Same old plot, but still a decent attempt.

would have been a better score if john corbett were on screen the entire time, and even better if he werent a...oops, i almost ruined the plot. anyway, i'm only giving it a 74 'cause it has john corbett, otherwise it's pretty forgettable, average hollywood trash.

Just how many freaking horror conventions can you follow? The birds, J-horror, jump scares, it's all sloppily compiled in this dull waste of celluloid.

Plain, lacking any scary source and painfully sloppy. A lazy run of possibly and hopefully the last PG-13 ghost fair. Kristen Stewart is hot though.
