Excellent, marvelous, wonderful acting from Lansbury, Taylor, Hudson and Fox... let down by terrible editing, which makes the plot obvious in some places and confused in others. (And an odd use of sleazy saxophone.) Still worth watching, just for the performances.

Kind of bad, but also really fun in a sort of campy mistery with lots of washed up stars sort of way.

A naive little mystery tale that maintains some sort of charm and is full of witty, delightfully British one-liners. The plot is intriguing enough in order to keep you guessing until the satisfactory final twist.

This movie is frustrating. The ensemble cast is great, but it feels like they weren't used to their full potential. The story is interesting but it lacks suspense and, strangely enough, mystery. It looks fine but the music is terrible. While the direction is lacking in places, the biggest problem is the editing; which manages to make the twist completely obvious, yet fails to make the movie feel cohesive. It's only worth viewing if you're a fan of Christie or any of the film's stars.
