If it wasn't so inadequately put together, there would be too many bizarre aspects - the cheap monster costumes, Vincent Price's ill-advised monologue - to add into this review to recommend it. The final story - when it becomes much more macabre and seems to have borrowed its music from an Italian genre film - does make it worth seeing, but the scrappy nature of the whole work sadly takes its toll on the quality of the entire thing.

The stories are all really good, simple but good, and the wraparound is dumb but fun. Definitely one of the more recommended horror anthologies out there, even though its attempts at humor resemble a Munsters TV special more than a proper horror comedy like Evil Dead 2 or The Re-Animator.

Price, Carradine, and Pleasence alone make this one a must for fright fans.

Pretty tame and predictable in comparison to the other horror anthologies out there.

Hokey, simplistic stories, but you know what? There is genuine humor here, some real imagination, good pacing, plus great acting and exchanges between Carradine and Price. Certainly far more entertaining and fun than most horror films. Easy to see why this has a cult following.
