A joyous homage to both Japanese yakuza and American P.I. serials (with a kick-ass cameo from Jo Shishido!). The beginning lags a bit but the film picks up steam to an ending you saw coming, but was still executed with gravitas. Also on a high note is the way the film discussed Japanese xenophobia in such length and depth. Has one of the most enjoyable soundtracks I've heard in years. Recommended.
