Do we need everything to be force-fed into us in 90 minutes? The mutant chronicles has proven once again the saying "You can't please anyone if you try to please everyone". That's exactly what this bizarre movie tries to do. It might look like a fabulous idea; but at the end of the day it made it look like that slightly overweight guy in a club; who winks at every girl that is coming his way. Chances of him getting laid? Zero; because he is creepy. So is the mutant chronicle

Possibly the greatest movie ever set in 2707. And definitely the worst. I love you, Thomas Jane! Don't listen to the naysayers. You just keep hamming along.

With an awesome beginning, this movie falls flat after the battle sequences. A good cast and some decent CGI really didn't bring out the potential that this movie had. And this movie from the beginning scenes had a ton of potential.

The definition of CGI dirge, an adaption of a piece of pop culture which, regardless whether it is good or not, tries to justify itself with its own mythology but merely turns into a tedious mess of empty fantasy and tropes (World War I aesthetic, sci-fi etc.) without any of the texture it all should have. An even simpler issue is that 1) you don't care about any of the plot or characters and 2) it feels like many of the actors, especially Malkovich, are just here for work and their pay checks.

Good idea for movie but really bad outcome. It started pretty nice, but I didn't care about anything else in this movie. Plot was something terrible. Characters where so boring and soulless that you can't care if anybody dies. It's really bad if you can't make your audience to believe on the plot. There was few good scenes and action was good but it's not enought for estamated 25 million butget.

Ron Perlman I expected to see in this film. John Malkovich I did not. I really liked the setting of the movie, but the plot sucked, the action scenes were sparse and uninspired, and the monsters were actually pretty lame. This movie might have been awesome if it embraced and reveled in what it was instead of trying to pass itself off as something dramatic and inspiring.

When I saw for the first time Hellboy I did not like it's parallel world idea: some familiar past, some fantasy combined in one. But now I get used to it and it's okay. Hellboy movies are great. Here again is a lot of familiar past combined with sf. All points for settings. The story is on a level of childish zombie video game, CGI is unforgivenly ridigilous and mapping live action into it, is pretty poor work. I hope there will be no sequel for this.

Unremarkable and repetitive, and I had such high hopes for this (just kidding). There is some promise in the setting as it is introduced, but it all peters out into a dark (as in absence of light), brown, generic, CGI blur.

A little different, but quite simplistic. Fairly good levels of gore and action. The story and themes wear a little thin in parts. More back story and slower segments would have benefited the production.

Sarts off as a kind of steam punky world war I movie (someone has to make one of those now as that was rather awesome) then becomes a kind of sci fi fantasy overblown epic. Decent stuff, but not great and kinda drags. Liked, didn't love

Although the universe holds a massive amount of potential, it simply ends up being yet another comic-book action movie. The style of the film is excellent, with the almost humourously exaggerated weaponry portraying this most prominently. The acting is a little inconsistent at best, with the ever excellent Perlman again not being used to his full potential. I really wanted to like this, but it's just so bland and mediocre I couldn't do anything other than feel totally indifferent.

This has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. Which is a shame when you look at the cast you would expect so much more and you spent the time wondering just why they agreed to be in this. Do they really need the money that much. The plot unbelievable thin. None of it fits together well. It almost seems that it was made up as they went along. Its just a really terrible B style movie with a really big budget. Terrible from start to finish with nothing inbetween

Put bluntly this is a b-movie steam-punk, video game Lord of the Rings. While that may sound like it's a sure-fire bad movie you'd be surprised to find out that it's really not that bad. It's not good by any stretch but it's really not that bad. Some of the stylistic choices are neat, some are quite stupid (most rifles look absurdly huge like Cloud's buster sword). It's good a great cast of principle actors but the script kind of makes them feel wasted. It's simply OK. No more, no less.
