Great short with beautiful imagery and a delightfully grim story. If the silhouette style is very in at the moment, and the plot doesn't move any mountains, the realization of both is never below solid.
A formidable little steampunk escapade that fits the descriptions of silhouette-animation, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi and horror with equal snugness. The story obviously needed at least feature length but was compressed to a mere 26 minutes, dispensing with details as big as conversation and focusing on direct, intensive exposition of plot. That's actually my only beef with this, though I've read talk of it being developed into a series (which may have fallen through). The text is great.
pretty artwork, though it would be a bit samey if it were any longer. weak acting and fairly conventional story (as steampunk goes) drag it down a bit.
