Summary: A wealthy English lord is suffering a mental breakdown following the death of his red-headed wife, Evelyn, whom he feared was cheating on him. He tours local bars and dives, scouring for lovely red-heads willing to come back to his decaying castle in the country, where he seduces them, then tortures and kills them. His friend the doctor talks him into marrying again to help heal his slowly-rotting mind, which he does--but are the doctor's orders really what he needs? (imdb)

Mildly diverting giallo with supernatural overtones. The eternally dull Anthony Steffen makes for a wooden lead, but Erika Blanc is always welcome.

Really confusing and silly, without the stylistic flare of Miraglia's The Red Queen Kills Seven Times (which also features a character named Evelyn possibly rising from the dead). The ending is kind of baffling because it leaves many of the murders unresolved.

Even though it's not really that scary, and has it's share of plot holes, it's still an ok giallo film. I found it more entertaining than most of Argento's films. Erika Blanc is only in it for a short while, so if you're expecting her to take up some screen time you probably won't find it here. If you like this, check out The Devils Nightmare.
