Interesting, but definitely not essential watching.

Was trying to watch this and actually forgot I was watching a film it was so boring.

on ambiguity, the pain and pitfalls of free thought, the complexities of the human touch: there are two soft caresses -- connery faux-comforting the suspected child rapist he's interrogating; connery's wife reaching out to stroke his face as he painfully recounts the episode -- both of which elicit an immediate reaction of revulsion from the receiver, and both of which hurt much more than the blows connery rains down in the interrogation room. by far connery's best, and perhaps lumet's, too.

Great film.

Stupid lens flare, and then a lot of walking- that just about sums up the first 45 minutes. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

My only complaint is a twist that is too easily revealed; as early in as 5 minutes if memory serves.

it's hard to be so mean to connery here, but this movie was boring as hell, none of the characters are very interesting and it feels like a hitchcock movie if hitchcock allowed his movies to be crap.
