This film uses both "prophecies" that are revealed and the actions of the antagonist to push the plot along, but they clash. Sometimes the antagonist is acting on the prophecies word, or sometimes the antagonist does a thing and then the we see that the prophecy "agrees". This is done in such a ham fisted way that there is no sense of "revelation" to the story, it just feels predetermined. I would like to think this is deliberate, but I don't think they are that talented, it's just a bad film.

Truly awful. A possibly intriguing premise is obliterated by lame-brained dialog and non-existent "logic" And Michael York looks like he has a schoolboy crush on Casper Van Dien the whole movie, while Michael Ironside--the jilted lover--pouts petulantly.

I think I'd feel bad giving a film 0. I mean, how do I know the craft services wasn't top-notch? The costumes should at least give any movie 10 points, right? It's a giant pile of religious propaganda shoved into a really stupid would-be-SciFi film. While there are good actors in this movie, they have nothing worthwhile to say, so their delivery becomes rote and pointless. Worse than I imagine the Left Behind movies are.

The decent heavies, Casper & Michael can't save this dialogue laden borefest from being an inane turd of a movie. That it cracked the top ten opening weekend is a testament to the bad taste and lack of better movies for the Christian audience. I was sucked in by the cool title.
