love it!

I was disappointed with this movie. It starts out good but then the film looses it when it gets to the final third. This film has lots of potential. The acting is good in this film.

Great ensemble, but shows its age.

Johnny in this movie became Daniel, who went on to beat another guy named Johnny who tried to sweep his leg.

An extremely eighties movie set in the sixties, filled with emotionally scattershot performances that are impossible to take seriously.

the other half of Rumble Fish" is not as poetic and profound a movie, but it is a pleasure to watch. This is Coppola stretching out of the Epic scale of his other movies. A nice movie, that is still a hidden gem in his ouvre.

Based on a great little book, this film fails to do justice to it in any way whatsoever. It's not bad however, and is very watchable.

Boygasm! Make sure to watch it w/ the original score. The 'new' soundtrack is horrible & undermines emotionality of scenes.

It's a bit of a shocker that whis cheesy, over-melodramatic coming-of-age film is directed by someone who made a fucking masterpiece of cinema 4 years earlier. Acting is noticably bad, but it's fun to watch all these actors before they got famous. At some point I stopped caring about the plot and started enjoying rockabilly soundtrack. "Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold. "

I'd like to do a re-watch, but I fear my opinion on this film would plummet. I think I'll be fine with remembering how enjoyable it was when I watched it as a young teenager.

Look at the cast! This was before many of them were famous, but Coppola manages to make a decent movie out of this book. I wasn't a big fan of the book, and the movie was about on the same level. This was around the time that Coppola took a downturn.
