We were blessed to receive this Polanski masterpiece. It's the true story of a brilliant Jewish pianist who, like so many others, lost family and friends during the horrifying years of World War 2. In escaping torture and concentration camps, he is placed with working class slaves in the Warsaw ghetto under an assumed identity; where he hides and bears witness to an uprising toward the end of the war. Adrien Brody's emotive performance is legendary and earned him the coveted Best Actor Oscar.
