The best of this series, however, not my cup of tea. I simply could not laugh, it was only ridiculous. Yet, Peter Sellers' performance is somewhat entertaining.

Sellers at his best and before he knew how popular the character would become. A good chance to see what he wanted the character to be. Funny, decent plot and with a charm to it

Let's just say we should be grateful they found out what worked about this and made more movies about that. This was a pretty schizophrenic affair.

There are some classic moments to be sure but this simply isn't Peter Sellers's best film. The ensemble performances are severely lacking making Sellers' brilliance (as Clouseau) seem totally out of place and bizarre. The viewer spends half the film laughing and the other half wondering when Clouseau is going to be onscreen again.
