Summary: Insp. Jacques Clouseau teams up with a squad of International detectives who are just as bumbling as he is. Their mission: Stop a globe-trotting thief who specializes in stealing historical artifacts. (imdb)
Although not one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, I absolutely love this movie, even more so than the first installment. Steve Martin is fanstatic as Jacques Clouseau and will keep you laughing for the entire duration of the film. Decent plot development allows us to track down the culprate of international criminal The Tornado, right alongside the dream team. Fun movie to watch and will get you speaking in a French accent for days
People treating this modern series seriously are as brainless as the movies. They are entertaining enough for one, or two, or perhaps three watches in a really half-witted, birdbrained way.
"A work of slapsticky, accent-y gar-bage, The Pink Panther 2 is so brainlessly uninventive that it actually seems determined to sully the legacy of Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers's original series." - Nick Schager
While I don't feel it was a good as the first it's definitely a great sequel with just as many funny moments thanks to Steve Martin, seriously could anyone else play a better Clouseau? Another good whodunnit storyline complete with both new and returning characters, including the sexy Sonia played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. A few of the jokes are more miss than hit sometimes, but when it's funny it certainly hits the spot. Overall fans of the first will love it just as much as I did.
I really dont know why they even tried to restart the Pink Panther movie. Steve Martin is not even close to Peter Sellers. Lets leave that aside this movie doesnt make you laugh like the old series. The new Pink Panther movie are just pathetic, not funny. The only question that comes to my mind is a loud shrieking "Why?". You are better of not watching this movie.
A likeable sequel to the 2006 film 'The Pink Panther' with the main players (Martin, Reno, Mortimer) returning once again. Steve Martin obviously takes the lead once again in a film full of slapstick comedy that not everyone may 'get' but fans of the original will be more than happy. A few good additions to the cast like John Cleese and the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai were more than welcome also. Overall it's not as good as the first but still a respectable sequel with plenty of comedy for everyone!
