Viewed with prior awareness of its often terrible brethren, The Pink Tail Fly is almost superior. A number of gags are actually quite clever, however intermittent Pratt and Freleng's departures from the series' out-and-out blandness may well be. Yet as with the others, this attempt lacks the energy and appeal of the similarly repetitious Tom & Jerry oeuvre. Once more, the Pink Panther's held back by lack of stimulus.
