One of Corman's less effective Poe adaptations. There's a definite sense of deja vu, and the foggy, studio bound "locations" don't work as well this time around. Milland and Court give good performances, but it's a bit flat.

Another pleasurable piece of Poe horror from the smoke machine master himself, Mr. Corman. I really quite like this, even if some elements strain believability.

I enjoyed Carrell's private tomb, but that was about it.

Another fun Poe adaptation by Roger Corman. I wasn't familiar with the story upon which it's based, so I can't speak as to the movie's fidelity to the source material. I wasn't expecting for the film to take the turn that it did in its last block, but I enjoyed the direction that Corman took. The gothic look to the film- lots of bare trees and mist- was great.
