What on paper probably had to look insane; Loner hit man teaches vengeful tween the murdering ropes in order to strike back at her drug dealer families' murderers; ends up being a pretty touching story of friendship and love. Sometimes slightly creepier in this version with Portman's crush being played even more up front, it may turn some off. One of the earlier appearances of Oldmans over the top evil bad guy routine. Worked for me.
