Summary: Low-budget superhero flick about a young man given a mystical medallion by a South American shaman, in order to become a puma- empowered champion like his father before him. In trying to locate the young man initially, the shaman has the nasty habit of pushing candidates out windows to test them ("Nope, not him.") (imdb)

You know I'm pretty sure they used the theme from Perfect Strangers for some o the action music. Balki as the puma man would be a movie I would like to see, unfortunately what we got was a huge steaming turd of a movie instead.

After a while, I think Pleasence was able to give that blandly evil performance in his sleep. This flick is certainly evidence that suggests that. Still, he's the best thing in it.

One of the best MST's. The Aztec guy is a hoot (as is the leading character)--and of course Donald Pleasence looking creepy/bald as hell, and not even being able to pronounce the thing. Then there's that goofy Stonehenge thing at the end...

Just imagine... a world with no Batman, where Pumaman became the most popular superhero of all instead. Tim Burton would make a few OK movies until Schumacher killed the franchise with the gaudy Pumaman and Feline, but then Nolan would revitalize it again with a gritty re-imagining called Pumaman Begins. Kids dressing up as a bald, black leather wearing Donald Pleasence for Halloween. This world would both be awesome and horrifying. Awefying. Pumaman.

What might one expect from a movie titled "The Pumaman"? If one answered "puma," one may find oneself sorely disappointed.

This movie is HILARIOUSLY bad, though I'm pretty sure there has to be some charges pressed for stealing their musical score from a Megaman game.

My introduction to MST3K. Hilariously bad. I could watch this film plenty more times. Which probably says more about me than about the movie.

Bad in a special way. Ed Wood would be proud. Equal parts ambition, incompetence, and obliviousness to how sad the whole project really is. A rare find, in a way. Also one of the best Mst3k episodes, although a good portion of the laughs came from the movie itself. Mst3k score: 9/10

I'm not even sure it deserves a 22, but it did manage to hold together a plot better than some other MST3K flicks I've seen.

One of the finest superhero movies to ever be made. You can just FEEL the effort put into this through the beautiful blue screen effects and the awesomely written plot about a true hero who never gives up even after losing his powers! Pumaman is MORE man AND hero than the Batman. The Batman is just some pussy who tries to scare people with his shitty toys. Pumaman though? Fuck, that guy gets shit done. Saves the world from utter domination. Batman only stops burgalars from taking purses. Pussy.
