The premise is as generic as they come, but the execution, even with Basinger's mediocre acting, is decent. There are some moments of humor, Kilmer is strong, and the story never veers into "annoying, blatant stupidity" territory. It's a perfectly watchable cable movie, which is an accomplishment for a film like this.
