Summary: Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as Joanna Mills, a tough young Midwesterner determined to learn the truth behind the increasingly terrifying supernatural visions that have been haunting her.
A very slow and boring Thriller that takes way too long to get going and when it finally does its pretty much over. I've always been a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar, and she was the main reason I wanted to see it, but its obvious she didn't have much to work with because of the poor storyline. A few cheap scares and many long drawn out stereotypical 'Horror' scenes made this rather dull to sit through, so its probably best to ry and avoid it at all costs unless you're a Gellar fan.
It's almost the reverse of standard post-Ring pics about troublesome fragmented memories: a thriller that worsens the more it's loose ends are resolved. Until the last act, it's at least a well-shot montage of Sarah Michelle Gellar in various states of worry and despair.
A mixed bag. When subtility is used instead of heavy-handedness it's quite entertaining. However, it can't seem to break away from the current standard of horror movie frights. The plot, as with the editing, could've been so much more memorable if it was fleshed out and subtle throughout. Could've been so much better.
