Bela Lugosi as a hero in this 12-part (2 feature) serial! It's done by a independent company so not that great, but they do get to borrow sets from the big studios including using the big gate in "King Kong (1933)" and does have some fancy costumes, so it's far from the worst attempt at a adventure story. Story wise the first part works best (ep. 1-4). The second part (ep. 5-12) is more visual as far as sets and exotic scenes, but tend to drag a lot.

Meandering, tedious film chapterplay, based on an excellent kids' radio serial. Lugosi is adorable, however...and there's something uniquely mind-boggling about having the actor who played the VILLAIN in the Fox feature, returning as the HERO in the sequel!

Another silly serial. Just seeing Lugosi as "Frank Chandler" is enough to make you laugh
