One of Fritz Lang's first American Westerns, if not the first, a solid but not-that-spectacular work. It lacks Lang's trademark directorial style, especially his use of 'opulent' or dark visuals, and feels more like a conventional Hollywood western, which is not necessity an issue, but takes away a factor that could have helped the film.

An enjoyable sequel, notable as the first western directed by Fritz Lang and the first film starring Gene Tierney. It's a good watch all around and although I have never seen the original, the plotline was relatively easy to understand and has some decent twists through its duration. There are some particuarly good scenes in the movie, obviously having some tightly-controlling influence from Lang, and the movie works well as a whole. Overall, it's a good film lacking just a couple of elements.
