Frodo, Of the Nine Fingers, and the Ring of doooooooooooooom, why does he have nine fingers, and where is the ring of doooooooooooooom?

Pretty much the absolute worst adaptation possible of Tolkien's work. And it is utterly hilarious. Glenn Yarbrough's warbling vibrato makes the jaws of epileptic goats drop in awe.

Rankin/Bass attempt to adapt Tolkien once again. This time, however, they fail miserably.

"FRODOOO, OF THE NIIIINE FINGERS! AND THE RIIIING OF DOOOOM!"

What were these guys thinking?

Doesn't capture the feel of Tolkien at all, shoddy animation, and terrible songs.

(review spoken with crazy vibrato) My score is based on the fact that I crack up during the bit where the image slowly zooms in on the young wide-eyed hobbit on the rocking horse.

Rankin and Bass really dropped the ball with this hackneyed attempt at Tolkien.

I never want to hear that \"Frodo of the nine fingers\" song again in my life.
