Peter Sellers makes a pretty bad movie fairly good! Go him.

A must-see for Pink Panther fans. It takes the comedy to the next level and leaves tears in our eyes as the bumbling Clouseau intrepidly seeks to bring about justice with some slaptastic but ingeniously implemented detective work.

The character of Dreyfus exists solely to give rich boy dbag Blake Edwards a middle class person to beat up. It's a Pink Panther redo, with a better Phantom and gritty 1970's exoticism (like the Emanuelle series). The Cato gags are actually better than the ones in A Shot in the Dark, thanks to some nifty high speed camera work. Nearly as good as the previous Sellers as Clouseau outing, but the mean spiritedness seems to be back.

hard to compare this to the earlier films, because they had a very 60s feel to them, in the same way this has a very distinct 70s feel. Sellers changed Clouseau around a bit, making him have a more exaggerated accent and his bungling and ineptitude is more pronounced, but this is probably the more enduring version of the good inspector. as always, herbert lom as the chief inspector brings a good deal of comedy to the table too

Takes a while to get going, but once it hits the scene where he sneaks into the hotel room it hits such a fantastic comedic stride I couldn't help but love it.

After rewatching this for the 10th time, I finally get why I could never follow the plot. It's because there isn't one. Not a real one anyway. Kind of a first draft of an inception of a idea for a plot, but not a real plot. Still the threadbare storyline does manage to hold plenty of slapstick gags together and, as always, Burt Kwouk and Herbert Lom provide ample support.

More of the same; Peter Sellers shines in an otherwise fairly unfunny movie.

Actually, my favorite of the series. Not as smart, but has plenty of laugh out loud moments.

More than a decade after Peter Sellers had last starred as Inspector Clouseau, he returned to the role in The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), and the movie is overall a lot different than the previous two Sellers had starred in. First of all, it visually looks nothing like the other two. Of course, this is to be expected. The Pink Panther and A Shot in the Dark both had the feel of 60s movies, and this one has a distinct 70s style.
