It's dumb and mostly plays by the rules, but it's surprisingly fun and contains some creative action pieces. Dwayne Johnson has a lot of charisma which saves this from being awful--it does remind one of the disappointing direction Johnson's career took after though, as a certain special someone symbolically passes the action hero torch to him early on in the film. Johnson should stick to these types of films instead of children films.

Better than you'd expect when the leads are played by Sean William Scott and The Rock, except for the screenplay, which is just as bad as you'd expect.

Overall Enjoyment: 20/40, Plot/Themes: 10/20, Cinematography/Direction: 10/20, Acting/Writing: 10/20 A standard action movie that had some very funny sequences. Was much more entertaining on first viewing and gets significantly less entertaining with subsequent rewatches.

I would kill for a children's audiobook read by Christopher Walken.

Actually a stupid story really, but entertaining as hell at times. Combines some good action with some funny moments which makes this an enjoyable film.

A fantastic popcorn flick. This is a shockingly great combination of action and comedy.
