Comedy for the rich, about the rich. I don't think stock exchange jokes were easy to understand for common people back in 1920, as well as aren't now. It's not a "Buster Keaton's film", he's just a guest actor and the film isn't a slapstick you would except. Adapted from a Broadway play it feels a bit static as a film, even if Buster's acting adds some dynamics.

takes a while to work up to the slapstick that makes buster shine, but when it gets there this movie proves to be quite entertaining. the story is on the light side, the first half could have been seriously reworked, and it suffers from some technical editing issues--you got to cut it some slack though it was made more than 80 years ago. this is an all around watchable movie with good moments and bad.

Buster's involvement is good solid comedy stuff -- and it's surprising that he seems to have been allowed to put his stamp on what's otherwise a straightforward frothy melodrama.
