Not bad, and gives you a real feel for life in this tiny corner of the globe... but what the dickens is the point?

An 8-minute short by Makhmalbaf, about a tiny classroom run out of a tent in the middle of a field. It reminded me an awful lot of the school scene from Gabbeh, and I wondered if maybe they were shot on the same day. I feel like I'm missing some context here, I don't know enough about Iranian schools to understand the significance.

Nothing to this short except some really obnoxious children. I can picture the director saying "make sure you speak really loud into the camera" and the kids thinking that meant yell.
