Adequate for what it was meant to be I suppose, but that's not saying much. The story, centered around hypnotism, mixes in a healthy dose of reincarnation and its plot requires assumption of that. It also seems to assume that we evolved from humanoid finned things with boobs and horns. But all of that hockum might have been tolerable if the characters in this were even remotely developed beyond the depth of cardboard cutouts. They weren't so we have nothing more than a novelty here.
