A masterpiece in it's own right. The stunning visuals alone in this film are enough to make me love it. But those visual and surrealistic shots are backed up by strong acting, especially by Nicholson. He played the perfect villain, and had the right amount of insanity portrayed for his character. Kubrick impresses nonstop. The only issue with this film were the loose-ends that are never really explained. But when looked at in a certain way, it adds to the creepiness and mystery of the hotel.
