I liked the three segments of this film, the middle section is definitely the most fun. Interesting for it's budget, a bit convoluted at the end.

Part One: ten out of ten, intense and has a guy handcrafting a mace with kitchen knives.
Part Two: ten out of ten, absolutely hilarious.
Part Three: one out of ten, after the first two parts it became boring and dull, and even slightly confusing. A terrible way to end the movie.

One of the best horror movies in recent years by a long, long, long stretch. The three segments all work perfectly on their own but feel a bit disjointed when put together, but each segment is good enough that I will easily overlook that. This movie has way more than enough scares and laughs over the duration, and the pacing in each segment is perfect. I just can't help but feel that something was missing to make this film pefect but damn if I can think of it. If you like horror, watch this!

Definitely trying to work on many levels, with some subtext suitable for a bit of mining. The three different writers and directors, however, makes the three segments feel too unrelated and disjointed. Good stab at something original.

To be honest? Seriously? I liked it. Maybe I was in my good mood.. I liked how the movie shifted in insanity through the genres (yes I did have a nice laugh in trans. II), the casting is really nice. Though there are many goofs and errors in the movie (low budget, nonetheless I want to believe they're intentional) still the movie had it's somewhat style. Yes - you've seen most of the stuff before.. but okay, I guess I WAS in my good mood and it's been awhile since I saw a movie like this. Gore!

It was a bumpy road thanks to three parts and three directors, but overall I was fascinated by this movie. I've never seen anything quite like it. I'd love to have The Signal 2, but with only one director next time (it's not going to happen).

What a mess. Considering the tiny budget, the movie looks amazing, but boy oh boy. Three directors equals a somewhat disturbing mixture of dystopian scifi, gory horror and dark comedy. All of the three elements work decently - just not combined.

Pretty poor acting, even though this is a bit of something different, really wasn't very good. The middle segment was alright. The dialogue came off quick and sounded like it would have come from the television show Angel with the pacing of the dialogue. Not that great of a movie.

The starting is very promising and creepy, but soon the film goes steeply downhill. It ended up being very boring and I barely could force myself to watch the rest of this dribble. Too bad, I wish they would have gone with the mood and setting of the first sequence of the movie.

I thought that TVs and phones sending signal that makes you kill was the dumbest idea I've heard in a long while. But after all this idea was the best thing about "Signal". It seems that none of the directors had a clue how to actually use that concept. First part is decent, but it goes downhill from there, until it reaches unbearable amount of stupidity.

Just plain awful. The story is a bit of a cliche - mass hypnosis through a coded tv-signal. Actors are unattractive and less than charming, and the characters arent't credible at all. Graphic violence in abundence. If you like to watch blood and brains splattered all over, this is the movie for you.

Random watch on Netflix, had a decent star rating. Didn't know much about the movie, so I didn't know about the movie being written/directed by 3 different people, so the movie is split into 3 different sections. The first one was great, the second kind of confused me, as it was fairly different in mood, and then the 3rd was great as well but I was still a bit set back by the 2nd. Overall great movie to check out. I just wish it was a bit more consistent. Like the idea but just didn't work.

Not a deep allegory about how the media controls our minds, not an affecting triangle of romance and jealousy, not a funny comedy. Despite being violent and gory, the fact that The Signal tries so hard to be all of the above prevents it from being a scary horror film as well. It is just an extremely pretentious, muddled and annoying load of nonsense. If you've any standards you will constantly look at your watch.

The Signal has great premise for a horror movie but film makers fucked it up by trying to do something out of the ordinary. It's divided into three different segments with different styles. First part is pretty good straight forward survival horror, second one is decent dark comedy and the third segment is just really bad. Acting is horrible through out the movie and the plot makes you wonder if bunch of monkeys wrote it.

A hugh concept horror (weird signal drives people nuts) that hinges on it's characters. I personally thought it worked best in the first two thirds of the second part where it became a very dark comedy. The drama parts work well though. A bit mental at times, but when all the characters are at least slightly insane that's to be expected. Very well made for the money they had, and well performed throughout. Make a black comedy guys, you'd do well.

Two thirds of a classic (and genuinely terrifying) horror film; first section is an at times unbearably tense, documentary-style depiction of the zombie attack; second section revels in cheeky, gory black humour, but the third section stumbles somewhat as the relationships between the central characters are resolved, and the fact we are in a zombie movie is almost forgotten. However, the low-budget, cut-to-the-bone feeling in part 1 sustains a feeling of unease throughout the entire film.

What a weird and cool movie. Made for next to nothing, three writer/directors passed the story around and each took a segment, making something pretty darn cool. A mix of horror and black comedy, if you like those apocalyptic "end of the world" movies, definitely check this out.

Unaware of the three directors approach this film has, the middle segment was extremely distracting. Without that, The Signal is a nice entry in the 'society coming unhinged' category. Speaking of gory, the film's sadistic nature might be a bit off-putting to some. Definitely makes you feel uncomfortable.

Pretty good movie. I liked the bleak style, the small cast, the black humor of the "Transmission III" segment, the use of a cover version of a favorite Joy Division song of mine (beyond the fact that I personally like it, it set the tone quite well) and the social commentary. Fans of early Cronenberg would feel right at home, right down to the 70's style title cards. It's not terribly original, and some scenes (all in the third act) tended to go on just a few seconds too long. Still worth it.
