Another oriental movie that wipes the floor with anything that comes out of Hollywood this days. This is how a blockbuster should be. The effects are amazing but the characters are never forgotten. Another good example of why Hollywood nowadays makes more remakes of oriental movies than good american films of their own. This might look like another Day After Tomorrow, but hey, at least there´s not an american flag and patriotic scenes every five minutes. Excelent movie.

A mishmash of Armageddon and ID4, but a well-done one besides. I'll never understand why the saving of a country - with the latest technology - always hinges on ridiculous mecahnical designs (this one is like Luke trying to bomb the Death Star without the Force). I'd give it higher points (it is competently made and engaging) if it weren't for its unbelievable third-act and the music video in the middle.
