Hard to watch - I'd like to think that there was one redeeming quality of the movie - but ultimately, you realize that they both are being completely unrealistic far before either of the characters pick up on it.

I loved the feet touching under the comforter bit, summarizes everything this movie had to offer.

Only American could write the line about Lithuanian violin-maker and his daughter, but that's ok.

The story of a marital breakdown. Isn't there enough of this in real life?

Bruce Willis really tries, and really fails here. Just a depressing picture with no payoff, no real point to anything here.

Starring Michelle Pfiefer and I forgot the good, though I do remember it was good.

I think being slightly late & making the transition from Fight Club made this more difficult. The broken up episodic construction presented the plot as an interruptive flow, which, while interesting, was disorienting. Somehow the depth of much of the picture feels studied instead of natural. I left a little frustrated, which was fine, and feel the movie didn't address my own experiences as i might have liked.

a great break-down of what had become a bad marriage, and the best thing is i didn't have to experience it myself. although from what bad relationships i've experienced, this is spot on, and i cant say either of the lead actors are that bad in their roles. i do love seeing michelle pfeiffer with 80's hair.

The story seemed like a theme was planned out ahead of time, but everything else was made up as they went. Finally, it sort of crash landed when the film makers just brought it to the inevitable end without a real justification.
